Community Outreach
JLK Rosenberger is a contributing member to our local communities. We understand the important role nonprofit organizations play in today’s world, and we are committed to helping them succeed. In addition to serving nonprofit clients from an audit, tax and advisory side, we have a unique understanding of the operations of nonprofit entities gained through participation as board members and volunteers with organizations in and around our community.
Each year JLK Rosenberger asks each team member to direct $300 of the firm’s charity budget to their favorite charity. Employees are also encouraged to devote at least one working day each year performing community service.

Charity (and competition) run rampant at JLK Rosenberger. An example of one of our efforts happened in December 2018. Employees of the firm purchased 50 goats to be distributed to needy families through a nonprofit organization. We designed a fun, competitive charity contest entitled “Who is the GOAT (greatest of all time) of Giving?” Employees were divided into teams and worked to gather funds to see who could buy the most goats in two weeks. Each team had a goal of purchasing one goat, valued at $120, but in the spirit of competition, teams battled it out, and we more than quadrupled our goal.
Our WomenLead organization has partnered with organizations that help women and children rise out of homelessness by donating household items, professional clothing, and office supplies.
“The best ideas at JLK Rosenberger often come from the bottom-up and our charitable efforts are no different. Our team members decide how and where our firm’s charitable dollars are spent. Even our youngest team members organize our volunteer time in causes they care about–helping homeless women, running a 5K for cancer research or serving children at risk—we all rally to support each other and those in need.
