First Year Auditor Insights on IASA

Alesia Labyntsava, a first year auditor at JLK Rosenberger, attended her first professional insurance conference, the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association’s (IASA) Southern California annual gathering. In her own words:

“The experience I had at the IASA conference was informative and beneficial for me. The variety of different topics and the way those topics were divided into smaller sessions made it especially valuable. There were sessions focused on sharing technical skills and updates that are useful for our professional development. Alternatively, there were sessions that were dedicated to sharing a broader perspective on the industry and its future outlook. I appreciated the session on tax because it provided a great overview of new tax updates as a result of the changes from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Additionally, what made the conference so valuable is the opportunity we had to connect and network with many professionals from different companies in the insurance industry. This allowed us to gain new viewpoints and share our experiences with others. Overall, I was able to take away information to apply to my work here at the firm.”
