NAIC SAPWG Accounting Updates, Fall 2021 Meeting

I attended the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Fall 2021 Meeting in San Diego. To the right, you will find a recap of items brought before the Statutory Accounting Principles Working Group (SAPWG) as part of that meeting. In addition to the matrix provided by the NAIC, Michael Goni and I included commentary on each item and categorized by high, moderate, and low priority based on their potential impact to insurers.

The next meeting is scheduled for the first week of April in Kansas City. Look for a newly updated matrix a few weeks after the meeting.
