From Planning to Reporting: Learn What Real Auditors Do
Students learn about audit planning, establishing materiality levels, and risk assessment. The mock audit entails group work as if you were a real auditor. A firm senior is assigned to each group, allowing participants to ask questions as they audit cash, fixed assets, and liabilities. Throughout the audit execution, students must compile questions, approach the “client” (role played by JLK Rosenberger team members), and collect appropriate audit evidence to complete the sections under audit. The audit is wrapped up by assessing audit results, communicating them to the client, and ultimately assisting in preparing the financial statements. A lot is taught and learned in three days. The best part is that you will gain an understanding of what an audit entails and if it’s the right career path for you.
