JLK Rosenberger Launches Tech Division to Assist Prevention of Rising Cybersecurity Risks

Over the last decade, security breaches and cyber-attacks on businesses have risen at an alarming pace. Catastrophic losses may be associated with these attacks, and many companies lack a cyber plan to protect themselves. To help organizations proactively avoid the damaging consequences of such instances, JLK Rosenberger is excited to announce the launch of its Technology Consulting Division led by Dr. John Tran.

JLK Rosenberger offers a tailored approach to cybersecurity, aligning with the maturity level of each organization’s cyber plan. As part of the comprehensive approach, entities are scored in the following key areas, including infrastructure security (cloud & on-premises), management and administration, access controls (authorization & authentication), network security, host security/endpoint protection, application security, data governance, awareness and training, and business continuity/disaster recovery process. After a thorough risk assessment, further services, including implementation strategies and managed services, may be recommended.

Dr. John Tran comes to JLK Rosenberger with 20 years of service in the United States Air Force where he specialized in cybersecurity. He was awarded multiple honors and awards, including the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, and Operation Iraqi Freedom Medal. In addition to Tran’s military service, his professional experience spans consulting, engineering, government, and academia. His expertise includes cybersecurity, system architecture, design and implementation, and software development. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.

Bill Rosenberger, partner at JLK Rosenberger, says, “John brings a practical approach to helping businesses harden their networks and IT infrastructure against unwanted intrusion.  I am impressed by his big-picture view of cybersecurity and his ability to break it down for the non-IT professional. He is a pragmatic confidence builder with real-world experience defending small businesses, public utilities, and the U.S. Government.  Our clients will immediately recognize the added value John brings to JLK Rosenberger’s cyber security team.”
