JLK Rosenberger’s Marketing Director JoLayna Arndt was elected to The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) Board of Directors effective June 30, 2023.
AAM is an “international association boasting a network of marketing, business development and growth strategists. The association was formed in 1989 to elevate the profession and advance the careers of growth professionals in the accounting profession through education, community, thought leadership and leading-edge resources.”
JoLayna has been a member of the association for 15 years and has volunteered in different capacities. She was co-chair for AAM’s annual Summit conference, planned during the Covid-19 pandemic, which proved to be her most challenging volunteer endeavor. While sharing about the experience, she said, “The circumstances changed weekly, and there was no event playbook at that point. We bravely planned and executed a hybrid conference that included safety precautions in Philadelphia, a very COVID-restricted city. Only 100 people were allowed to attend — all wearing masks in large rooms — but it was amazing to connect and learn with those who were able to attend in person.”
Last year, she was the Conference Chair for the Summit conference in Louisville, Kentucky. In a LinkedIn post just before the meeting began, JoLayna thanked her team of volunteers and shared one of her favorite quotes as a sentiment to the team’s hard work and planning: “Little by little, a little becomes a lot.”
JoLayna loves this organization, and when asked what the best part of volunteering for AAM is, she responded, “I always get back more than I give – in expertise, leadership lessons, and true friendships.”
