Hashim Aboobakar, FCCA
Hashim Aboobakar is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with more than 10 years of audit, financial control, and advisory experience across Mauritius and Luxembourg. He brings a well-rounded perspective to client engagements, combining a strong audit background with direct experience working from the investor and financial management side.
His career has given him a clear understanding of what managers, investors, and lenders need from financial statements and financial reporting. Hashim has worked across real estate, structured finance, capital markets, and financial reporting, with experience supporting complex transactions, investment structures, and cross-border organizations.

Hashim specializes in real estate, structured finance, financial reporting, and audit and advisory services. His experience includes acquisitions and disposals, debt raising, investor reporting, financial modeling, valuation review, securitization structures, and IFRS financial reporting.
He has worked with a range of investment and financial services organizations and brings particular strength in evaluating complex real estate assets, reviewing third-party valuations, and challenging key financial assumptions. Hashim also has experience developing operational processes, governance structures, quality control frameworks, and professional teams that support international audit engagements.

Prior to joining JLK Rosenberger, Hashim served as Financial Controller at Hines Luxembourg, where he oversaw a prime European retail portfolio held by one of Europe’s largest pension funds. His responsibilities included coordinating acquisitions and disposals, debt raising, investor reporting, financial models, and third-party valuation reviews.
He also served as Relationship Manager, Capital Markets at Intertrust Group Luxembourg, managing a portfolio of European securitization clients, and previously worked as a lead auditor with BDO & Co Mauritius, where he planned and led statutory audits under IFRS, including engagements for entities listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.
Hashim is also Co-Founder and Board Director of HAMC Consulting Ltd, an affiliated practice in Mauritius established in 2022. He helped design the firm’s operational and governance structure, standardized workflows, quality control frameworks, and professional team supporting international audit firms across Asian and European markets.
