More About George

Little-known fact about you
“I love gardening, especially growing organic vegetables for my family.”

Your heroes
“My parents. Our family immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong. They sacrificed many things to leave their home country – mainly for me so that I could have more opportunities. I hope I’ve made them proud.”

Your superpower
“I’m optimistic, easily able to ignore the negative side of things.”

Favorite vacation
“Right before Covid, I went to Europe and visited Switzerland with my friends. We spent time in the Alps, and it was my first time seeing snowfall – it was magical!”

Advice for aspiring CPAs
“It’s HARD! Some people underestimate the amount of work you must take on while studying for the exam. My number one advice would be to take the exam as soon as possible after graduating and before accepting a full-time job so that you can put the necessary time into studying.”

What can’t you stop talking about?
“Traveling and credit card rewards – you can save a ton of money by using your credit card(s) wisely. Instead of time on TV and Netflix, I spend time researching valuable travel opportunities.”

George began his career as an accounting assistant at an international company to gain valuable experience as a student. Later, he joined JLK Rosenberger as an intern, and after graduating and a short break to study for and pass the CPA exams, he joined the firm full-time.
