Early in his life, James developed leadership and problem-solving skills as a concertmaster and skilled violinist in his high school orchestras. These skills have translated into his professional life, where he excels in mastering new systems for clients in a dynamic business environment. Known for his ability to simplify complex financial reporting, James is a trusted mentor and educator to both experts and novices. He is also recognized for his calm and effective problem-solving approach in challenging situations.

Areas of Expertise

James has nearly four decades of experience in auditing a wide range of entities, including manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, real estate fiduciary companies, insurance companies, and not-for-profit organizations. His expertise extends to Single Audits under Uniform Guidance and spans various sectors of the insurance industry, including property and casualty, captives, government risk pools, specialty lines, and life and health insurance. As a qualified peer reviewer under the AICPA Peer Review Program, James upholds the highest standards in audit and assurance services.

Committed to his community, James serves on the Tx CPA Peer Review Committee and the Professional Standards Committee of TxCPA. He is the past Co-Chair of the CalCPA Planning Committee for the Accounting and Auditing Conference and has served on various other professional committees. Additionally, James was the Assistant Treasurer of the ManKind Project USA, a national nonprofit organization, and completed a full 7-year term as a director and CFO of the Glendale, California Chamber of Commerce.
