Maria Vigul, CPA

Senior Manager

Maria interprets statutory financial statements and the Russian language.

Maria’s reputation for taking the bull by the horns is well-deserved. Immigrating from Russia alone, she was initially interested in becoming an English translator, but accounting stole her heart in college. Her ascent in public accounting has been swift. Within one year at JLK Rosenberger, she was running large audit engagements, and within two years, she was appointed the president of the Southern California Chapter of Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA), where she served successfully for two years. She has also served on the board of CalCPA’s Los Angeles Chapter.

Areas of Expertise

Our insurance clients appreciate Maria’s efficiency and accuracy. She simply gets the job done on time and on budget. She possesses experience with both GAAP and Statutory financial statements for insurers. Maria’s clients underwrite homeowners, life, earthquakes, private passenger auto, medical malpractice, and warranty risks. Maria follows the happenings at the NAIC, particularly the Statutory Accounting Principles Working Group (SAPWG). She regularly writes content for our S.S.A.P. Chat blog and has been a featured presenter at our S.S.A.P. Chat Live Insurance events.
