Mark Kuntzman, CPA


Mark has over 10 years of private industry business experience and 20 years in public accounting, a majority spent in the audit of insurance entities including life, property and casualty, and mortgage insurers, agencies, and reinsurance companies. His experience in the insurance arena is instrumental in bringing a smooth transition to the audit process.

Area of Expertise

He has prepared budgets and forecasts for presentation to regulators as well as completed the Statutory-basis quarterly and annual statements and Risk-Based-Capital reports for filing with the Texas Department of Insurance.  Additionally, Mark has a lengthy tenure of auditing and assessing complex reinsurance agreements and counseling clients in their application. He has functioned as a critical on-site liaison to the financial management groups of many of our clients in working through various complex presentation issues.

Advice for aspiring CPAs: 
Focus and pass the CPA Exam ASAP. Don’t follow my approach, waiting to begin college courses until 10 years after high school and working long hours in the tax department of a CPA firm with a toddler at home.
